This polymer clay butterfly pendant is about 6 inches wide at the widest and about 4 inches long at the tallest.

Unusual effect for a butterfly... cool!

 Is the base clay sheet under the cane slices green??... I think I see it peeking out, but can't tell for sure.

I wanted the butterfly to transition from top to bottom, from spring to fall. The base is a green sheet, all the pieces on the front are canes. The back is brushed with pearl pearlex powder. I have some really amazing wings done in clay, but I will have to find them. I am in the midst of packing up to move, so it may be a few weeks before I find them if they are indeed packed up.
