The blue was just the cd - and to the previous question of how long to put them in the oven...I have an extremely short attention span  - so I forgot about them actually, so they melted quite a bit. The edges were completely rounded. I have been wanting to try an xbox game cd they are supposedly purple.

I seen this a while back and so I had to try it.  I used a blue CD and didn't risk the microwaving....but I guess I didn't leave it in the oven too long because I had no problems with the fumes   heres what mine turned out like   I was pleased  Smiley

really cool idea!!   Suggestion>>>you can use a heat gun-the kind you use for embossing-it should help soften cds so you can cut them easier.  Luv the blue and green ones!

I just tried that. When the cd sparked, it scared the mother efin daylights outta me! then when i took it out, it smelled really really really bad. ITS SO COOL! I didnt have the gut to put it in the oven, so i painted it with a metallic blue paint then wiped away all the excess. It looks so! cool! i only have one pendant on my necklace though, and it's not finished yet. THANKS!!

That is a really cool necklace.  Does it spark when you put it in the oven too?
