I had a huge bag of purple and blue yarns that were supposed to be used for my ambitious Christmas gift projects. That plan never happened so I made this afghan for my father-in-law. He loves to sit in his recliner and watch TV so it's the perfect size. He seemed pretty happy with it.

I think the color combo turned out nicely, though my husband had his doubts when I started!

There will always be people who say mean words  because you are different, and sometimes their minds cannot be changed. There are many more people who do not judge others based on how they look or where they are from. THOSE are the people whose WORDS truly matter.

That is just lovely! Your color choices are great.  My mother-in-law would like this but I'm not ready to tackle an afghan project yet.

Wow, that is just lovely! I'm making a "granny" square type baby blanket right now, and I've only made one before. I didn't like how I joined it last time, and I simply love how you have the blue joining lines. It simply pulls the whole thing together beautifully. Can I ask how you joined them? Or take a picture of the joining so I can figure it out?  It's one of those things I just can't seem to master! Thanks so much

And that is definitely the most beautiful granny square afghan I have ever seen!
