Invite Your Partner Swap: Signups CLOSED; Sendout by 5/23

-This is a little bit of a different take on swapping, so please read this carefully before signing up! Here is the thread in the new swap ideas: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=89248.0 If you are unaware of this idea, it might be a good idea to read through all that chatter!

Is there someone on Craftster that you occasionally pm just to chat, or that you have been in several swaps with, but have never been partnered together? Do you always see them in the signup section and think, "Oh, I hope I get partnered with them this time?" In this swap, you can contact anyone and ask them to be your partner. It's almost like a personal swap, but with a group, and a potentially killer gallery! You will have to sign up with your partner. That is, you must contact your potential partner via pm and you both must mutually agree to be partnered together. Once you have a partner, each of you must pm me with your information, and after doing all the necessary double checking, I will post you both together as participants.

As partners, you will choose if you want to have a theme, if you want to post stalk each other and be surprised, or if you want to request from each other things you have admired in the past. You should also agree on quantity. I would suggest one "large" (time consuming and/or valuable) item, and a couple of "small" (quicker to craft) items that you know your partner will like.

ONE NOTE: It is a little scary to ask someone to be your partner. Some people may have someone else already in mind, or they may not have the time or funds to participate right now, or they may just not be interested. We need to remember to be nice if we feel we need to refuse someone, and to not take it personally if someone else turns us down. If this swap works, it's possible we may do several rounds. I know I, for one, have several people on my "must swap with in the future" list. I'm sure most everyone else is the same.

There is a lot of time to sign up, so think about who you would love to swap with and what type of swap you will do. Because you are picking the partner and the theme, there is no reason why you can't just jump right in and start crafting early!

New info: IF you are a Friend of Craftster and have successfully completed at least five swaps, you MAY choose to take two partners, as long as it's OK with both of them. Make sure you will have time to craft something excellent for both partners, though!!
