These are the bags I sent to kiki_eks. They are made from recycled sweaters that have been felted with help from this site:
http://www.canadianliving.com/canadianliving/client/en/Crafts/DetailNews.asp?idnews=233920

I also embroidered them with some embroidery floss I had left over from another project. My mom helped me sew them up since I don't have a sewing machine and don't really know how to use one! Smiley

Oh I am so happy you posted pictures. My photo's wouldn't have done them justice. I didn't have much light and the flash washed out all the details. I do like them and they are so soft. Can't wait to take them out to the market me...
Thanks again,
K

I received my package from kiki_eks today. She sent me a bag crocheted from recycled plastic bags and also some recycled yarn. The last item is really cool--it's styrofoam from the containers you get at restaurants and there are instructions on how to bake it in your oven and make stuff with it. It sounds almost like shrinky dinks. So cool--I never knew you could do this!

Here are pics:

Love the bag!  I've done the styrofoam shrinky dink thing before.  It turned out a little thicker and whiter than the traditional ones but cool.

I got my package from rangerbeth today!  Boy did I get lucky!

(I updated this and the photo's are big now whoo hoo!)

My most favorite is a re-useable sandwhich holder that velcros shut and can be washed, it has a cute little deer on it!  Also a cloth flower pin with a strawberry in the middle, 2 resin bottle caps, a barret that says 'more tree's less Bush' and the necklace says, 'buy less, live more' (love that!)

Also a recon t-shirt declaring this recycling slogan:

and it was all wrapped up in fabric for me to sew with! (see at lower right on shirt)
Plus vintagey envelopes made from old calendars that came in a box shrine with the delightfully dire message: "we're not gonna make it"

 Thanks Beth!!!
