I'm planning on going to Portugal in september, but don't know exactly where to go. Are there any Portuguese people on here? Where do we go - Lisbon, Faro, Porto? Which is more fun? What do we have to see there? Are there flee markets, thrift stores, funny, crafty stores? We're coming over for two weeks, so we have to find a lot to do!! Please help me  Kiss

do you think we should go to Lisbon or Porto? or are the trains of a reasonable price, so we can do both? or do you know cheap places to stay there?

Santarem (where I'm from) is also pretty cool, called the capital of Gothic architecture in Portugal, lots and lots of churches (very inspiring), museums and there's this garden-like place called "Portas do Sol" (Sun Gates) which is right on the edge of the city, surrounded by medieval fortified walls and towers and you can see the river and the valleys. It's also very inspiring.
For thrift stores I think the best is Lisbon, not sure which zone though. Have fun!
