The Crafty Wedding Craftalong!

When we started the Wedding Swap, pibbgirl suggested a craftalong as well.
I figured, instead of themed months, we could do a list/pictures sort of craftalong.
First, post a list of all the things you need to craft, then, post pictures as you finish them.

Here's my list: (Our wedding is on July 29, 2006)

-Save the Date cards
-Hotel info/info about the city/informal invite to the BBQ the day after
-invitations and RSVP cards
-3 bead bouquets, 5 boutonnieres and 2 corsages
-jewelry for me and the bridesmaids
-tiara or headbandy thing for me
-2 Short n' Sweet lacy bolero things from the Happy Hooker
-some sort of lacy wrap for me
-my bridesmaids presents
We haven't decided what to do for our questbook yet, and our centrepieces are going to be easy board games like operation and Kerplunk, so we might decide to make platforms to display them on or something. The room we are in doesn't really need decorations, although I might get our parents to do pictures of us as kids and stuff, since they really want to be involved somehow.

not really crafting, but proud of my cheap centerpieces.  16 pineapples for less than 50$.

flower girls "purse", which was not on the OG list, because I was going to use a pommander, but after thikning about how fast she'd set it down, the purse won.  I think I should get bonus points for dyeing the fabric too.

crafting the program "fans" with family.  we opted for a single fan shape, printed both sides.  Information was our names, the date, the officiant's name, the bridal party names on the reverse was our only reading, Cohen's "Dance me to the end of love".

"ring pillow" tomato pin cushion from same velvet as flower girl's purse.  That's my mom handing it off to the best man.  She thought we may need to prove his posession of the item later.

the ugly craft, which deservingly got an ugly picture.  I'd given up on pretty crafts and felt the need for one, "WEDDING!!!" craft, the result, our cake card-box.

Ooh, I love the beaded number on the pineapple!

I'm in: this list is a bit vague, some things aren't fully decided yet.
Wedding is December 30th.

 - ETA: Save the Date cards (never got around to it)

And these are the cards I made for my bridesmaids.  They came out super cute; I made them in our "colors" and used an oak leaf stamp because we're getting married under oak trees. 

I deleted the picture of my RSVP card and posted it below with the rest of my invite.

Wow, awesome stuff everyone! I don't have much progress to report on my crafty stuff, I've just been gathering stuff on my shopping trip home. The real crafting should start next week when I get back to my town.

I don't have too much stuff done yet either.  We're planning a crafty day in about when we get to claim all of the favors we did for our friends when they got married.  For example, one of our friends made us tie 350 little bows and believe you me, I have a coupla hundred bows for them to tie!

I finished the table numbers and the headpiece, plus I've got my favour tags designed, and ready to be printed at Staples.

Ugh, I just made a long post and now it's gone

Anyway, wanted to update with the crafts I've been working on!

I started on my pomanders for inside the gazebo and from the surrounding trees (cat shown for scale):



And we got the invitaitons finished and printed-- now I just have to address the last two envelopes and assemble stamp and mail the invites (ugh).  Here are the proofs (I haven't got pictures yet).





The paper "sash" that holds the whole packet together is simulated here-- it's actually made from a really pretty embossed, handmade paper I bought online.
