They're much easier to see fullsize:

I like the third one best--I think the sans serif font looks really clean against the flowers.

I too have been quasi-busy on the wedding front, in that I cobbled together and sent out my invitations a few weeks ago prior to leaving for China and just now got internet at our apartment so I could rush to craftster and show them off Smiley
(More gory details at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=290991.0)

In other wedding-related business, I dragged my fiance over to Shanghai with me and made the poor guy take asian-style wedding photos with me--a whole-day affair with 5 changes of hair and outfits for me and...no changes for him, as they didn't have any suits his size and he wore the suit he'd cleverly brought along for just such an instance. I couldn't resist putting a few of them in the show off your wedding photos thread because I was so excited about them. So excited about them that I'll put one here too:
So. Cheesy. And yet I love them.

I'm also planning on shopping for a dress while I'm here (I know, I know...less than 4 months away and I still haven't gotten myself a dress...)

I also found these beautiful chopsticks in satin sleeves that I'm thinking to give out as wedding favors--I'm thinking I may end up doing a gift bag with more handmade things for the folks who will be coming to our actual ceremony (very small group of family and close friends) and getting sets of chopsticks for favors for our larger at-home receptions. The chopsticks are both pretty and symbolic (of being a "pair", of my background) but I do worry a bit that people will find them weird/useless. Thoughts?

(Apologies for the large post, I've just now gotten internet access here and I've been craftster-deprived!)

Chopsticks would only be useless if they were so pretty/fancy that people felt guilty eating with them.  I would LOVE them =P  But I guess it may depend on what percentage of the recipients you think know how to eat with them, because if they're not going to use them, they're just going to get put away somewhere and never thought of again, which would make giving them out a waste, right?

The chopsticks are definitely not too fancy to eat with, and I would say probably about 70% of the recipients will know how to use them...perhaps I should get two types of favors and let the guests pick...fans, perhaps?

In other news, I bought my wedding dress today! Actually, I bought three dresses (for less than the price of one in the US!). They were so inexpensive and pretty, and so while I didn't have the magical "THE ONE DRESS" moment I'm pretty happy with all three, and have time to think them over and enlist the help of my mom/friends/neighbors/cats in deciding upon a winner when I get home. (I'm sure I will find good homes for the others too.)

Ok...twist my arm, why don't ya...  Wink Please excuse the messy headless shots.

A B C
A- soft fluffy poly material
B - sheer organza(ish) overlaid on white. The thing I like about this dress is that the flowers are pins, which makes it really easy to change how the skirt overlay layers are arranged--or do away with the flowers altogether.
C - would definitely replace large hip bow with flowers (possibly ganked from dress B), and needs a petticoat. Has a simple lace-up back which I wasn't able to capture because I lack the manual dexterity to lace myself up the back.

They're all a little more fussy than I initially had in mind for my small oceanside ceremony, but since I couldn't find the cotton/linen dress of my dreams I figured I might as well have a little fun Smiley I'd love love love your opinions/ideas/advice on mods.
