I actually have something semi-finished and ready for you all to look at!  Last night I made all of the boutonneirs (sp?) for the groomsman and dads (sorry no pics of that), and this morning I went to work on my bridal bouquet.  I've really never done any sort of floral arrangement before, so constructive criticisms are absolutely appreciated.  I may still add some silk oak leaves and other filler (Btw, it's all silk, the wedding isn't until September).

you can't see it in the pictures, but I used a bouquet holder from the craft store with green floral foam in it.  Does anyone know if I can use hot glue on it to keep the flowers in place?  I think for silk I was supposed to use the white foam ones... but I really have no idea. Smiley

Lovely flowers there! The colors are awesome! I love the invites you posted too zarafa!
Finally I can add a few shots of my invites... The first step (also the back of the RSVP postcards):

and the text added:

I used the Japanese purple for the text and Pearlescent pastel purple for the graphic. The paper is Butter from Paper Source. Remember, all designs by the lovely TheBon of course! I'm so happy with the way they are coming out! I will print the text side of the RSVP cards this weekend and round all of the edges. I'm still hunting for a printed paper for the envelope inserts. All this was done at while visiting my parents on vacation this week, when we also picked up the fabric for my gown (ivory silk shantung and a gorgeous embroidered chiffon) and cut out the muslin for the mock-up. We are modifying this pattern: http://www.voguepatterns.com/item/V2964.htm?tab=evening_bridal_includes_designer&page=2 Woo-hoo for progress!

yay! i finally put together a few of my invitations today and i am super happy with them.  they probably cost about 300$ total for about 115 invites (minus a few messed up ones).  the paper supplies, which included envelopes and all the paper for the invitations, reply cards, and information inserts (which we haven't printed yet), came to about $230 at the local paper store.  the gold leaf stickers were from Martha Stewart and they were $1.99 for 9 stickers.  The printing was done at FH's office and i put the type together in photoshop.  i did have to invest in a paper cutter and the punch for the corners.  overall it was a pretty good investment doing them ourselves... the woman at the paper store estimated just shy of $700 for them to print and assemble the invites so its definitely worth the work to do them ourselves.

there are actually three different variations of the design because there are three different leaf stickers and FH and i couldn't decide which corner punch we liked better. (sorry for the giant pictures)
these invites are phenomenal! Great job!

Those invites are gorgeous banga!  I can't wait until the time I can design mine (need a date first Cheesy)

I love the pattern you're using for your dress, part of me really wants to make my own but I don't think I'll have the time (or the skills).

banga, those are gorgeous!

This is my bouquet prototype.  I wanted simple, cute, and pink.

I told you: I only wrote that poem to test my printer!
