I bet they wouldn't be too expensive if you bought them at one of the wholesale clubs (Sam's, Costco, etc.) a day or two ahead of time.

Good suggestions, thanks! As long as after I place the bulk order, no one arrives with just a few lemons. "How can I make a 12 lemon centerpiece with a few lemons?" I love that movie...

Banga - lucky girl! I wish Bon would help me... I loved her stuff. Hah, for that matter, I wish anyone would make my invites. I'm sooo not artistic.
Man I haven't made any more progress on any wedding crafts or anything lately. HOPEFULLY we'll go reserve the location tomorrow *crosses fingers*

TheBon helped me with mine too, and had really great suggestions that helped lots!  I've almost got all the cutting done and then next Friday, we're doing an assembly party!! Yeah, I'll take pics then and get the final product done! They need to be mailed out 8 weeks before, correct?  That would be 02/01/08!  WOW, it'll be here before I know it!

I've been a slacker getting pics up, I guess just trying to get it all done!  I'll work on that this weekend.   8)I'm SOOOO excited!! Cool

By the way, all the project progress pics look great!

Yay! My invite design is ready and boy is it gorgeous! Thank you, TheBon! I won't post a photo unless she says it's ok, as it is her design!

I've *almost* decided on my plan for the invites now... 3 A6 flat cards, one for the invite itself, one for directions and hotel info, and one for the RSVP postcard (trimmed down with a scalloped edge) all included in a printed paper envelope in this shape: http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/3433010071.html?cm_id=2550.020. And then all that stuffed into A6 envelopes. All the paper will be butter, except the print of course. I'm not spending that much money on the envelope inside the envelope, and I want a print which they don't offer. ! I'm now hunting for the perfect yellow and purple print to go with my design. It's taking me forever, since scrapbooking shops organize stock by designer and never by color! Agh!

Okay Banga, I got you covered. Wink I just did the design work, Banga's going to do all the printing, so her finished colors are going to be different than what I used for the layouts. I also worked out the options for both a folded invite and a single sheet invite.

RSVP Card Front:

RSVP Card Back

Single Sheet invite

Folded Invite front

Folded Invite Inside

It was great fun to do, and great to help build my portfolio for these kinds of things.
