Those cards are adorable, samara!  And they go so well with the theme of your dress...I can see the whole wedding theme revolving around that dress!

I've been engaged for 2 years, but we finally set a date!  June 13, 2010 (no, it's not a Friday...)

I bought my dress at David's this weekend.  It's simple except for the beading at the  neckline, which is exactly what I wanted.

We also found a dress for the bridesmaids, which will be in yellow.

Even found a dress for my mom!  It's a hot pink dress that has one little tear on a seam, so we got it for $50!  (BTW, why are "mother of the bride" dresses so freaking ugly?  They're all in black, beige and grey, and look like only dour old lady would wear them.  Ugh!)

Now that I have the dress and have booked the place (ceremony and reception will be at the Davis Islands Garden Club: http://www.digclub.org/), I'm not doing anything until December.  I have to pass Spanish 2 to graduate from college, and I'm not allowed to do anything else until the final!  Well, I guess this counts as doing something, but I have to dream a little, right?

Well, my list for things to make goes something like this:
(Wedding colors are dark green and yellow, btw)

Veil:  I bought one on ebay for $20, and I'm going to add green crytals to edge
Jewelry:  Brides earrings and bracelets (no necklace needed with halter top!)
Bridesmaids necklaces, earrings, and bracelets (3 sets)
Bouquets
Centerpieces
Invitations
Simple printable ones; Including maps and allergy warnings (no scented anything!)
Chuppah:  Since I and so many friends and FMIL crochet, I'm having everyone crochet a square or two, then put them together.
Card basket
Cupcake tier
Programs
Flower girl basket
Cake topper
Favors

Those are the ideas so far.  Now back to studying.....

Zeenobia, the dress is gorgeous! I love the twist/gather detail in the bodice. Good luck with studying (and your subsequent crafting!)

zeenobia--Such a pretty dress!

We have finally set the dat--May 28 2011.  So now I have about a year and ahalf to plan everything.  We still need to pick a venue which I guess will be our next big step!

Congrats to anyone newly engaged or married who I may have missed!
I may be back on this board regularly soon... My mom thinks she found "the [other] one" and thinks they're headed towards marriage soon...after two months *rolls eyes* She's a 12 year old, apparently.

LOL @ theKster! My mom started dating/singles parties/match.com/eharmony/etc... right after I got married too! Smiley
I take it as a compliment that she just wishes for the same happiness (or maybe she saw that wedding planning was SO MUCH FUN! hahaha)
Hope married life is treating you well! Smiley

I found this awesome deal online, and had to share! I've been thinking about using flowerpots for centerpieces, since the wedding is at a garden club, and found these: http://www.candle4less.com/candles_2/Unscented-Votive-Candles_2/72-Flower-Pot-72-Votive-Candles

72 candles and 72 flowerpot shaped holders for $44...I think I've got enough candles now.  And to think I was worried about the cost of candles...this is a great site.  Hope that it helps someone else.
