I'm a June baby too and have to say your engagement ring is beautiful.  For mine I think I'd want black diamonds and pearls.

hardyjenni: I agree with sweets that the proportions of the boutonniere seem a bit off. Flaring the top more might help, or adding a few more sprigs without increasing the amount of wrapping on the bottom. I do like the beading though and your garter.
As for the letters, I like the stamp better... the font seems more elegant, but it is a bit tough to say without knowing what the invite looks like.

Sweets4Ever and N30Nb100d:  Thanks so much!  I totally agree with you guys. I really like Sweets4Ever's better than mine!  I totally agree with the proportion.  i think i have to learn how to not be so messy with the wire.  I needed the ribbon to cover my mess    I'll have to practice.  Thanks for the advice!  and no invite yet, but I'm working on the prototype and hope to get it done soon.

arcadian green:  Somewhere on this forum, someone talked about having cupcakes from Sam's club.  They were prebaked and then frozen.  All she and her helpers had to do was thaw them and then ice them, which they did the day before.  I've heard Sam's actually has very good cupcakes.  Maybe that's something you could consider.  And yes, I made the garter with a bunch of scraps!  it was nice and cheap!

okay.  Here's take two of the boutonierre.  I think it's not perfect, but much improved.  Thoughts?  Comments?  Criticism (constructive, of course )?  The base is still a little thick, but I just couldn't get it tighter since the ends are folded over, making it doubly thick.  Maybe the FH will have to do the tightening for me

OoooH!  I like that one so much better!  My eyes immediately went to the beading, then the bow and lastly the base.

Sweets4ever:  Do you have a tutorial for your corsages?  I was just going to make larger bundles of beads for the corsages until I saw yours.  I love yours, and am totally craft-stealing! (that is, if you don't mind.)  I'm not the biggest fan of fresh flowers since they fade to fast--I'd rather receive a potted plant than flowers!  So, I wasn't going to have any roses in my ceremony (just origami cherry blossoms and maybe some potted orchids).  But then I saw your corsages, and tonight I found some beautiful wooden roses at a food festival.  So, I picked up 15 for $5, which didn't seem too bad.  That's enough for all the grandmothers, the mothers, the step-mother, and attendants.  Now, I just need to learn how to make them as well as you did!
