Well, I'm sending a knitted hand grenade into the US as a gift. I was wondering if it would be confiscated or anything by customs? I'll write on the package "knitted item", so it should get through ok, right? I just want to make sure it will be received.

Sorry I can't help, but I just wanted to say that a knitted grenade sounds so radical!! Awesome!

Pictures please?  Roll Eyes

It really should be fine.  I don't think they'll open the package.  And even if they do and see that it looks like a grenade, I think they can probably tell that it isn't really explosive.

It should be fine.  Just don't stuff it with knifes and explosives.

Thanks. I figured it should be fine, but I wanted more opinions just to make sure.

lisiepeasie, the receiver should post pics in the swap gallery for the April Birthday Swap. If she doesn't, I probably will, so you can find them there (once it's received).

If it does explode, I don't think it'll hurt anyone.  Tongue
*imagines ball of yarn exploding*
