I wanted to test out this pattern, until I could spend more money to get the yarn the pattern called for. I used Lion suede on this one, which seems totally different from Berocco Suede. My lining and sewing skills are not that great, but what do you think? I wanted a small clutch, but still want to make the original at some point.

so cute!

Lion brand suede is MUUUUUUCH thicker than berocco suede, that's one of the biggest differences. you may have noticed that as you working on this. nevertheless, this is totally gorge.

The colors are fantastic!  I like your modification of it too.

Berroco Suede is a narrow ribbon yarn that works up into a fabric that looks and feels kind of like sueded leather.  Lion Brand Suede is a chenille yarn that works up into a thicker, more velvety kind of fabric (as you already know).

Cute. I have been working on these granny's no squares, because I want to make a blanket out of them.
