Laural, I gasped when I saw the quilt in your pillow picture and was going to comment on it and then I saw the same pattern in BlooCanoe's quilt.  That's a fantastic pattern.  What's the name of it?  I'm always looking for new patterns to try.

Laural officially wins a Craftster Swap Champion award.
I can't imagine making that.
I really can't imagine making that and sending it to someone I don't even know!
Holy moly.

I couldn't agree more. What you can't see in the photo is how nicely made it is (perfect seams), and also how cute the individual fabric patterns are. Some are abstract swirls, there is a teapot-and-comfy-chair print, there are leaf prints, and a butterfly print too. Beautiful!  Kiss  And Laural, I like quilts with black backgrounds too- I think it gives a neat, modern twist to a traditional design.

See why I was so thrilled when I posted yesterday? did anyone think, "Oh, that Bloo, she must be exaggerating"?  Now you can see that I wasn't exaggerating one tiny bit!  In fact as I posted yesterday I was running out of superlatives, partially because it deserved so many and partially because I was speechless that Laural had made this for a swap, and that I was lucky enough to be her partner.

Homerof2- I think this star block goes by a few different names; it's referred to as Variable Star in one of my books but I'm sure there are other names for it.
