BAG CHALLENGE :2: SPRING BAG! WINNER ANNOUNCED!

this is my entry into the spring bag challenge.
it's made from a shoe again (I can't stop making these)
made with pink nylon that I cut holes into and then inserted black vinyl left from another project and then sort of quilted a bit. I cut the shoe open and used the orginal heel that I glued onto the outside of my sewing and the top front of the shoe is sewn to the front of the purse.The strap is from an old purse that I found on it's way to the trash but I rescued it first.
It has two pockets on the outside of it one with a zipper and a zipper closure. It has four pockets inside as well.

Bag Title: Spring Tote
Materials used: Linen fabric, polyester (lining), metal zipper, embroidery floss
I made this from scratch, with no pattern, and I hand embroidered the flower.

Materials used: 1.5 yard main fabric (I used fabric from the Outdoor and More section), .5 yards of contrasting fabric, 9" zipper

Bag Title: Cheery Tree in Blossom shoulder bag
Materials used: Light Brown Needle Cord, Dark brown and green threads for embroidery, seed beads, pink polka dot cotton for lining, light brown velcro closure, cream zip for inside pocket, reused green and white striped cotton for lining of pocket (salvaged from a free bag given away with a magazine)

bag title: stems of vines
Materials used:It is made from thrifted brown velvet curtain and green fabric. It is fully lined with the same green fabric that you can see on the vines (stuffed with cotton strings). It have asymmetrical flap and 2 pockets. Main flap and the pocket flap close with stems of vines that go through button wholes. I must admit it is more wonky then things I normally saw but I like to imagine that it adds to "organic" look

This is my first picture post of my handbags This picture is not the best, but I wanted to participate.  It is lined with a pink swirls fabric and has a pocket large enough for a cell phone

I didn't think this one was going to make it, but I pushed through!  I almost gave up last night but after a long shower went back and started sewing again at 1:30 AM.    This is a present for my step-mother's birthday, cause she like's those "healthy back" bags.

Bag Title:  Pretty Healthy Bag  (because it's pretty and it's healthy!)  
Materials used:   home dec fabric (outside), 14" zipper, velcro, 1.25" rectangular hardware & slide, ribbon & beads for zipper pull; lightweight shirt material (lining) 7" zipper, craft weight sew-in interfacing, thread to match

Bag Title:  Spring Kitchen - by Born Again Bags
Materials used:  (2) Hot pads, scrap yarn, scrap fabric, wooden handles, porcelain pin


Spring Kitchen made simply from two polyester braided hot pads, knit on the sides for two inches to form the sides, added two wooden handles and a pin with a fly.  Cost is $3.00.
