i was feeling political yesterday, and decided to make a shirt. this has proably been done before, but im doing it again. so here it is:

http://home.ripway.com/2004-6/133316/loveandwar2.jpg this is the back. i think it turned out better than the front. i wanted a graffti/spraypaint effect,so i lightly glued the back of the stencil with a gluestick so that some of the paint could leak out under the paper. i used decoart sosoft fabric paint, of which i put one coat on a blue tshirt.

http://home.ripway.com/2004-6/133316/flowersandgus.jpg this is the front. i dont like it as much as the back. in case you cant tell, its a gun with a flower coming out. since the photo is in b&w i used black, green, and white decoart sosoft fabric paint.

and there you have it...an easy political tshirt from eva!

o and i used little boy tshirts from walmart and made black and white stencils on MS word. the young mens tshirts from walmart are too long. also thanks to yardenxanthe for giving me the idea with the sofia loren stencil.

Hehe, that's sweet.  I have a quote that is anti-war that makes me laugh...did you know that if you're pregnant, you are not allowed to serve in the military?  Hence - "Make love, avoid draft"
Well, at least I find it amusing!

Great job!  I love your execution of it and the sentiment.  Now how about a revival of the phrase, "Nixon Now More Than Ever"?  Tee hee!

 thanks for all the postive-ness!
for those who are wondering, i used a font called mutefruit which is a freeware font and can be found here: http://simplythebest.net/fonts/fonts/mute_fruit.html mutefruit is really nice because its a stencil font, so you dont have to worry about the little circles inside the O's and stuff like that.

also, i didnt get my stencils from ohmystars.net, but i didnt know it exsisted until today...but THANKS! there are some seriously cool stencils in there.

to make stencils, i went on google and searched for images that i liked. then i went into MS Word and make it a black and white image on the picture tool bar..maybe i will just make a step by step.

anyway, i will get home from vacation on saturday, so i will send stencils to everyone who wants them then.

yay for evas!

rock on,
 eva
