I made somemore more envelopes yesterday

Outside (very plain and boring)


And inside (surprise!)


I tried to make them using waxed paper but it didn't work.  My box of waxed paper said it was ok to use for baking so maybe that why??  Anyways, I used the plastic wrap method for the envelopes above.  I also got creative with my scraps:

Mini Envelopes!!  (these will hold 1 3x5 card folded in half)


and gift tags!! (you know those things you attach to a gift so they know who it's from)  They're plain on the other side so I can write on them

I'm going to try this with plastic wrap, um, right now. But next time I'm out I'll definitely look for freezer paper and some cool tissue paper patterns.  I love stationery!

oooo origami paper would be cool (though you can use anything really).  Recentally I found a site where they ironed fused plastic grocery bags together and made a material sorta like tyvek.  As soon as I have some spare time I'm going to see if that stuff would work for envelopes ('cause how cool would it be to get a letter in an I-used-to-be-a-plastic-grocery-bag envelope!!)

I'm really excited to try ironing grocery bags now, too (between sheets of non-stick stuff, of course. Do you think plastic fumes would be an issue? I could try to take it out on my apt. balcony... Anyone tried this yet???
