woohoo!  craft_t_chic got my craft!  This is my second-ever journal; I'm so delighted that I finally learned to do this - and I don't understand why I thought it was so hard, as it's really easy!!  I am obsessed with mini journals lately, so it's great to finally be able to make them.

I followed the directions posted in the Paper Craft ---> Reconstructed forum.  Somebody posted about how she remade a copy of Treasure Island (I think - some pirate book) with a cool cover into a journal.  If you have trouble finding it, PM me and I'll look it up again for you.

The hard part is the coptic stitch binding.  The very best attack out there, in my opinion, is this one:

http://personal.mem.bellsouth.net/d/r/drv1913/0204.html

I highly, highly, highly recommend bookmarking it if you think you're going to try journal making.  It will save you some headache in trying to understand how to do this binding.

good luck!!  (And maybe I'll catch ya in another unicorn zombie apocalypse and make a mini journal for you!)   Grin
