I'm not posting this in the baby section because this is not going to be a diaper bag for a change.  I had sent a customer a NASCAR themed baby gift set and she liked the diaper bag so much, she wanted one for herself out of tractor fabric.

We could find John Deere fabric all over the place, but red tractors were much harder.  She ended up ordering the fabric online and had it sent to me.  I purchased some beige and red gingham for the lining and whipped this up a few days later.  I'm mailing it out today.

It has sturdy interfaced handles, a zipper pocket inside and outside, 2 open pockets on othe inside, a couple of thin pockets to slide pens into, a cell phone pocket and an open pocket on the outside.  The open exterior pocket has her initials embroidered on it.

Yee haw!  She'll be pretty fancy at the rodeos and tractor pulls!  I bet she carries it to her conservative gov't job, too, though :-)  Oh, and I also made her a checkbook cover and a lined zipper pouch.  I lined the zipper pouch with cow fabric, though!

My husband's step-mom would love that. I know what you mean about finding red tractors, It's nearly impossible. Nice job on the bag, I love the outside pockets.

THank you!

Yes, it is original.  I pretty much stick to the same style for most of my totes.  I cut a large rectangle, a few pockets, add a zipper pocket or two, and the handles.  Sometimes I do a shoulder strap and sometimes I do 2 handles.  I usually put a magnetic snap at the top.

My next bag, I'm planning to add a flap but the rest of the purse will be mostly the same.  the flap will over the side with the external zipper pocket.
