I probably should have started this thread when I started on the blanket, but I'm only about 1/3 finished.

If you have undertaken the 140-square challenge, post here and when one of us finally finishes we can post photos too. I've been updating my progress on my blog. Smiley

I like it, but it's too small. And I'm not sure how to expand it without ruining it Sad

When I saw the blanket, I decided that I liked the idea, but not the shape or size. So I created my own design with the squares. I know it doesn't really count for the crochet-along, but I can kind of follow along! I'm making a 15 by 15 square blanket, so I'll need 225 squares total. I've done about 30. I'm going to be making this for my dorm room next year, so I'm really excited about it!

I've been working on it for a few weeks on and off- I only have 9 more squares to go!

I started this a little while back, but im making it square and My colors sort of radiate from the bottom corner out. I guess i should start working on it again!

So, you like....stuff?

I'm done with it!

I'm kind of relieved to be able to work on a baby blanket for my French teacher now. Going around in those circles was flipping me out.

I think I'm going to hop on board with this blanket sometime soon as it seems like an excellent way to use up extra yarn(I have a lot of yarn in the colors called for already).

Well, since it's all granny squares, why don't you make an extra layer around each granny square? Essentially, make bigger squares.

dang, i just got what this blanket is...COLOR BARS!  i have this book and when i saw that blanket i was thinking, "man, that is an unorganized looking blanket."  i thought it waas really random and had no real pattern to it.  looking at it now, though, i get...i'm dumb...

well i guess i'm in because i already have some of it finished.  by some i mean like 9 squares.  lol.  its the perfect project to work on in between projects because the squares take so little time, thats why progress is so darn slow.

btw, i didn't get it until i saw the designer's website.  she has a pic of one there, and i did the old 'slap-the-forehead' thing when i saw it...so you aren't the only one!
