Oh, it's lovely! I love Kate Gilbert designs! You did a wonderful job...I'm considering making some of her baby hats just in case I ever have a baby, because they are too delicious and I'm afraid I'll forget about them in the next five years, and then my offspring would be deprived of vital gnome hats.

Oh, thank you!  I was my first picked-up neckline, but i was really happy with how it turned out. 

And you're right - those little hats are so cute.  I always see patterns and think, oh, that would be perfect for so-and-so, but I don't always right it down, and I get nervous that I'm going to forget a great pattern!

Thanks, I thought he looked darling! he's very pro-knitting, which is great - it almost looks like he wants one in his size!

It's a little big for her right now, but I wanted her to grow into it - you don't want to do all that seed stitch just to have someone only be able to wear it for a week
