I'm just doing the misery-loves-company thing...because I keep finding new things I want to knit! My brain goes sooo much faster than my needles. And then I end up un-enthused by my current project, which is dragging on forever. I've been working on Orangina for over a month. And I have at least two weeks left to go. But I'm already coveting tubey, and tivoli, and green gables, and then I saw this!

I just got an email from an online yarn store about the new Debbie Bliss 100% Silk yarn and the pattern book, and I LOVE this sweater. The yarn looks divine.  Of course, at 13.99 a skein, I definitely couldn't afford this -- it would be well over $100 for the yarn and book. But I can't help but drool.

There are some other nice patterns too. You can view them here: http://www.royalyarns.com/ptrn/DBS/DB-PureSilk/index.html

That is really beautiful. I may consider adding that to my list! Pure Silk looks like a DK weight yarn, am I right? I'm sure you could find a yarn sub. If you didn't want to go with silk due to the price, Filatura Di Crosa's Brilla has a very nice, silky sheen, and can be found for usually between $4-7/skein, with ~121 yds/skein. I've also heard that silk is a little warm, so finding a blend may help there, too. I'm sure there are plenty more suitable yarns out there, and probably also some great deals on ebay.
