Punk rock made me this way.

I turned a pair of old black combat boots from 9th grade and a pair of Italian silk goodwill ties ($1 each) into these amazing new paisley boots. I am very excited about them at the moment.

This is my first post on Craftster and probably my first ever legitimate creation of this kind.

The boots are deceptively simple, I just opened the ties up and ironed them, then cut patterns out to fit the boots and slowly superglued it on to each piece. The only tough part was trying to smoothly cover the curved toe, which is more or less impossible.

Also, the superglue seeped through in some spots where I used too much. This is them on my feet:

Hope you like them. If you really really do, say so and perhaps I will post a tutorial, because they're really easy. Seriously, $4 and as many hours.

I was just about ready to throw out my old black boots---but now, holy mackeral! I never thought about embellishing them to give them a year or more of additional wear! You are definitely creative and thrifty! $4? WOW! And I love paisley to death! Too kewl!

Craftsters never cease coming up with new ideas for neckties!  Those boots are awesome.  I love them.  They'd go great with necktie purse.

This is going to be a tough voting choice for this challenge . . .

I knew there was someone out there who understands a love of paisley. (My mom certainly doesn't.)

Those boots are awesome!

Too bad I wear my boots until they have huge holes in them, so doing cool things would be a little ridiculous...

Your shoes are amazing, therefore you must be the greatest person in the entire world. You must be dreamy.
