I don't understand how you glue the fabric in place? do you use glue? what is liquid starch?

I used liquid starch like the tutorial suggested. Though for me I didn't let it dry long enough and they wilted after a day or so. I think the thread would have worked better then yarn. The yarn just didn't absorb the starch enough or something.

Could these be made with an empty egg shell and then crack the shell to get it out?  How big are these?  I love them and the idea of the round ones!
