the only problem with mod podge is that its not waterproof/ so dont wear them in the rain/or try sealing them with an acrylic medium Smiley

ooh i love these, i'm going to thank you for this idea.  i just made a pair of my own in blue green and yellow wrappers. i think the first ones always come out better than the second.  yours looks smooth, and  mine kind of are bumpy a little.  the wrappers didn't stay down perfectly. i'm telling everyone they were yourawesome idea though.  thanks!!!
