Spring is in the air!

Wow this is my first completed project and my first time finallllllllly learning how to upload pictures and all that jazz.  When i saw the contest I was like WOW my new shoes would be great to enter.  Basically I was tired of these old Old Navy balletish shoes that were just plain black.  I wanted something like all of those new flats out in the stores that would get me excited for spring.  Hopefully you will be able to see the following pictures of before and after:






All i did was use some embroidery thread that I had and just free handed a design.  The hardest part was making the second shoe look exactly like the first shoe.  I should have taken a picture of hte needle i used because it was completely bent when i was finished.  But alas i will be happy if these pictures show up.

Those are amazing! So cute! You embroidered through the shoe ; impressive! Well worth the pain though - I'd wear them every day!

You should embroider different colored shoes, too
or
Embroider another pair of black shoes and mix and match.

These are wonderful! I would never have believed that you did them by hand -- your fingers must hurt so much... but they look beautiful. I'd buy a pair of those in a second!

Wow - you bent your needle?!?!!?! That's pretty incredible! 

I broke 3 needles sewing my shoes... the first I was trying to bend, and the second were accidents! 

Great job on your shoes - I'm so in LOVE with ballet flats right now!!! So pretty!

OOOOOh! This is absolutely looovely! so simple yet sucha HUGE difference. I'd so totaly wear this and good job on the whole free hand thing, they look pretty much the same, good stuff
