I live in East Norman too.
I didn't go to OU, but I was an Art/Theater major at USAO.  I want to meet with the OU Art Dept. partially about grad school, and partially to talk through with them how I'm probably not yet ready for grad school...  You make them sound really fun and nice.  I'm glad. They might not mind my coming in just to talk it through.
My friends and I used to have "crafts day" every Tuesday at my house, but work schedules changed and it dissolved. Sad  I have to say though, with summer coming, my favorite thing has been taking an extention cord a folding table and two sewing machines out into the front yard.  It's much better in the sunlight with grass under your feet!

Amanda? This is Jenny (from Japanese class). Funny I found you on here.
I think all us crafty Norman girls need to get something going, a Norman Craft Mafia maybe?

That is OK, I am a big dork too (who else would spend a Saturday night working on a scrapbook while watching Spongebob with thier 5 year old, while my 12 year old actually went out to a movie with some of his friends).

Also, if anyone is interested, I just got the big lots ad sent to me via email, they have a shipment of sewing notions, ribbons, decorative trims, etc and they are all only $1!
And....
Anywho one scrapbooks (or makes cards, altered books, etc), the dollar tree has a really cool selection of paper and 3D stickers.
(I am the premier bargin shopper, so whenever I spot a killer crafting deal, I will make sure to let everyone know)
