just made flora scarf from knitty - super fast and fun knit and totally the right size for spring!

and here is its humble start - i used up some random wool i had kicking around (alpaca lace weight from sisters christmas present, superwash wool from a baby present i made, and sari 'yarn' sooooo pretty -silk threads spun together)

http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall05/PATTflora.html for pattern!

Yippie - spring!  I love your yarn combination.  I bet you'll get a lot of compliments on it - it looks great!  I really want to make this now.  It's a great scarf for spring.  I've been looking for a quick knit that would appeal to a lot of people to submit to a silent auction to raise money for the Minnesota AIDS Walk.  I think this would be perfect (and Lord knows, we're all still wearing scarves in MN...).  Of course, I'll have to make one for myself too!

cheers! i still need scarves here too (in the yukon). its nice to have a smaller happier one rather than my super long ones to bundle up with
this would be a great donation for a silent auction - totally looks more complicated than it is - good luck with yours! (i'm going to knit up another for a friend  - just so pretty!)
