hey you!
here´s my tutorial for the bag, as I promissed a long time ago, (sorry) – i posted here:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=80121.msg752196#msg752196I don´t speak english very well, so I posted loooots of pictures for you to understand it better, hope you like it.
It´s kind of hard to make, I´m still making some changes at the pattern, but it seems to work fine with me. Some steps may sound a little “obscured” or confused, but with the pieces of fabric in your hands it´s easier to understand, believe me.
Please ask me if you´re having trouble to understand it!
I finished the english version (with my poor, poor english). Here we go:
This is the scheme for the pattern (the rounded rectangle is the lining):

1 – Straps: cut 2 rectangles with 8,5 x 58 cm of the outer fabric
2 and 6 – Botton: cut 2 rectangles with 8,5 x 50 cm, 1 of the outer fabric and 1 of the lining fabric
3 and 7 – Top – “zipper part”: cut 4 rectangles with 5,5 x 36 cm, 2 of the outer fabric and 2 of the lining fabric
4 – cut 2 of these in the outer fabric
5 – cut 2 of these in the outer fabric (see I have added some things for embelishment!)
8 and 9 – Lining: cut 2 of these in the lining fabric (see I have added a pocket at one – it´s a simple rectangle)
Step 1: The straps:

Just sew it with the right sides facing and then “reverse” it (shown in picture)
Step 2: The zipper (it´s for a 30 cm zipper):

There are a lot of great tutorials teaching how to do this (I learned it here at Crafster), here is one great ziper tutorial:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=10165.0It must look like this after you attach the zipper at the rectangles (3 and 7)
Step 3:

Then you have to sew together parts 4 and 5, right sides facing, as you see at the picture. Then reverse it, to the right side. Don´t forget to leave a small hole at the top of it, you you´ll use this to reverse the bag (you´ll see in the next pictures).

Step 4: Now the zipper and the botton:
You need to sew the parts 2 and 6 at the zipper set (you already made). Leave a little space unsewn at the beggining and the end of it (you´ll see why at the next step). Here is a picture of the process:

and you get this:

do it at the other side and you´ll get this “circle”:

Step 5: Now, sew the lining parts (8 and 9) at the lining of the “circle”.

why we left the space unsewn at the beggining and at the end:
now you have this:

Step 6: Do the same to the parts we sew together at step 3:
at the wrong side

see the right side:

you´ll have this:

see the hole? we you´ll reverse the bag through it:

Step 7: The rings:
atach the rings as you see at the picture (you´ll need 4 rings)

Here it is:

hope you liked it! and I really hope this tut works! please pm me if you have troubles with it!
thank you girls!
