it's finally done. i finally finished it.

i present you with...

the colosseum!!!!!

yes friends, that is a crocheted replica of the famous ROMAN COLOSSEUM!!!

it was for a latin project and i had to replicate a roman artifact or building so i was like hmmmm i think i should crochet it. so i did.
i had to write a pattern so, in the off chance that you have to make one i can give it to you.

heres a pic without me in it

its a little more squarish in that picture though...that was before i put wire in the top.
and the detail work of the top

those are columns and detailing at the top.
but yeah, thats all. thank you for viewing

*Edit* I got my grade back and she gave me a 200/200 on the colosseum.
though it is not longer constructed. i decided to take it him, took out the hangers so i could carry it around school all day, then used the strophome to make snow storms for people... but i still have it. haha

You are SUCH a dork, but I have to admit it's cool.  You should crochet little gladiators, or put lego people in it.  I think they make horses for lego people.

Ahhh it's really cool, but it made a good nun outfit/skirt, too.

!!!!! wow !!!!!  I did a double take when I saw this.  Amazing - you have been so creative - whoever is marking the assignment will be blown away!

I couldn't help having a vision of a couple of months down the track, of a posting to the "What the heck can I do with this" board, with an question like "so I've got this crochet colosseum..."

i'm not really sure what i'm gonna do with it...probably put it by my other major project... a paper mache tree of daphne from greek mythology...or the hobbit hole i made to go with a book report... i have a lot of random crap sitting around my house.

That's wonderful and very creative.  I bet you're the first person to crochet the Colosseum  Smiley
