I haven't done any crafting with peeps, but I'm pretty sure they can stand up to just about any kind of crafty torture out there.  I had one of the bunny peeps stuck to my dashboard in high school for over a year and it held up just fine.

I've always wanted peeps earrings.  I wonder what would happen if you spray painted them?

I saw on Food Network (I forget the name of the show but it's the one with the guy who used to host Double Dare) where a woman made jewelry with peeps.  She'd slice off the front of them in a thin layer and glue it to a metal back, then shelack (I have no idea how that's spelled) it.  They wouldn't last forever but apparently they'd last a while.

So one would assume that this is something any normal person could do with a decent amount of patience.  The backs she had were specially made but she was selling these things for like $40 each or something.  It's been a long time since I've seen it so I could be off but I know I thought they were sorta pricey for something that didn't last.

In the end she stopped using real peeps and just started painting them.

I didn't craft with them, really...I just ate them & fed them to coworkers.

I covered the little buggers in chocolate... and peanut butter & chocolate.  Caution though, they are *very* rich:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=29111.msg245306#msg245306

I've never made any peeps crafts but I did make a peeps pie!

Literally - the pie filling is melted down peeps, chocolate, and whipped cream.

Thanks!

It is shredded coconut - i threw it in a ziplock and added some green and yellow food coloring to get a neon green.

http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/chicks/chicks.html

I tried making these and got all befuddled  Huh  Maybe I will try again, and...hmmm...what about using Fun Fur?

I'm having probs too. I think maybe it should be 2 halves not 1 piece. I don't have any scrap yarn I want to use right now so I haven't tried it.

OK, I tried this pattern with help from an actual, published crochet pattern designer and I can officially confirm that this pattern DOES NOT WORK.
