So I was at the Goodwill the other night, looking for trinkets and baubles that could potentially be turned into whimsical jewelry, and I stumbled upon a bag of 30 wine bottle corks for .99 cents. I also stumbled upon a genuine small, ornate, bronze hookah for $2.99, but that's going to be put to other uses... Wink

the earrings, with me wearing them!

one of the earrings, closer...

...annnd the other

comments would be mucho appreciated  Smiley

great idea. I'm gonna do it.

If these walls came crumblin' down
Fell so hard, to make us lose our faith
From what's left you'd figure it out
Still make lemonade taste like a sunny day

lol, for a second I thought, "Hey, corks...those must be some fairly large gauges," but then I saw they were dangly earrings and was all, "Lolz, corks."

They're cute, though. Very original. Good job. n___n

I have a cork from a wine bottle that my dad put holes into. I think I'm going to use it as a pendant bead for a hemp necklace, but I'm not quite sure yet.

cute but aren't they a little heavy for your ears or are they really light

Dance as though no one is watching you; love as though you have never been hurt before, sing as though no one can hear you, live as though heaven is on earth.

They sort of remind me of Luna Lovegood.  Grin Very unique, I like the idea.

Corks are extremely light, so I highly doubt they're heavy.
