I made a record journal after reading about them online, but the site I went to had no pictures. Now that I've actually made it (for a friend's birthday present) I'm all finding the kind that are square. Well, mine's a little different (sorry for the picture quality)

This is the outside

This is the inside.

I'll make a tutorial if anyone wants one, but it's pretty easy to figure out without one.

Ah, oh yeah, this is my first post. Hullo!

That's ace, plum-wine- and welcome.

Oh, go on, tell us your tricks of the trade. Did you use grommets in your holes?

Actually, I didn't. ;; Mostly because the rings are metal anway and the cut's very clean (I heated it an drilled it, so it's quite nice)

My friend is about to leave for two months and that would make a great going away present! Thanks for the idea!

I scored mine (deeply!) with a utility knife then broke it against the edge of a counter so it came out clean.

What record did you use?

I found a great one (the theme to Rocky!), but now I don't want to use it in case I find a better use for it. I don't know what my problem is, as it's to scratched up to play. I guess I just don't know who it would be perfect for, you know?

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!

I just got some records from the op-shop that were pretty. I played them first and they sound crap. One was called "no goodbyes" which I thought appropriate to give to a friend. Heh.
