ONGOING BOOK/MAGAZINE SWAP

Original Thread:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=83212.0

ATTENTION ALL SWAPPERS -
ALL SWAPPERS MUST BE PRE-APPROVED FOR THIS SWAP.  YOU CANNOT PARTICIPATE UNLESS YOU PM ME AND I ADD YOU TO THE LIST! Anyone watching this thread who thinks they might be interested in participating at a later time is very, VERY welcome to pm me answering the swap questions now...and then you can participate whenever you want. Feel free to be pre-approved even if you're not sure that you will actually pick someone, it's better to be safe than sorry! THANK YOU!

YOU HAVE TO BE PREAPPROVED TO CLAIM SOMEONE. PLEASE CHECK THE LIST TO SEE IF YOU ARE PREAPPROVED BEFORE YOU CAN POST A LIST OR CLAIM SOMEONE TO SEND YOU A BOOK!

WHEN YOU SEND ME YOUR INFORMATION, YOU MUST HAVE ATLEAST 3 BOOKS/MAGAZINES ON YOUR LIST. THIS IS JUST TO INSURE THAT YOU WILL HAVE A LIST READY!! SAVE A COPY OF WHAT YOU SEND ME IN YOUR OUTBOX SO YOU HAVE IT

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:
Name of swap:  Ongoing Book Swap
Craftster username:
Email address:
Your real name:
Mailing address:
Your list:
1.
2.
3.

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE with ONGOING BOOK SWAP AS YOUR SUBJECT AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find out how to ship your item and other details about participating in a swap. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=6553.0

Swap name: Ongoing Book/Magazine Swap
Craftster member who is organizing this swap: dabba
Sign-up date range: ongoing
Date to send item by: 1 week after you are chosen
Limited to a certain number of people? (optional): HECK NO!
Non-U.S. participants allowed? Yes
All ages allowed? Or 18+? All Ages
Organizer meets the 4 conditions for swapping and will make sure that every participant meets these conditions: YES

Details of swap:

Please READ CAREFULLY! This is a  new style of swap, and it works differently than most.

The first person puts a list together of all the books that they can SEND, there must be atleast 3 books (WITH PICTURES IF POSSIBLE...or a link to a website that has the book maybe). YOU CAN HAVE AS MANY BOOKS/Magazines ON THERE, AS LONG AS THERE IS A MINIMUM OF THREE!

Then people will read your list, if they want a book/magazine, they will reply to the thread and say "i want Jenny to make me a Bust Magazine" or whatever they want off of their list. When they reply, they will also say "this is my first/second claim". They should then PM "jenny" and give them their address info.  IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT THAT YOU REPLY WITH YOUR STATUS (your number of claims) WHEN YOU CLAIM SOMEONE!

THEN COMES THE NEXT PART. YOU WILL NOW POST THE LIST OF BOOKS/MAGAZINES YOU CAN SEND. (Since I am requiring you to have a list when you sign up, make sure that you save it, you DONT have to have pictures as an example, but it would be nice. IF YOU HAVE PICTURES, PLEASE POST LINKS, NOT THE FULL PICTURE)

Then someone picks you to send a book/magazine to them.
Then they post their list, and so on.

Now if the thread gets in a rut for a few days/hours, the person who made the last list should add to their list if they can think of anything else, until someone decides they want you to send them something.

YOU HAVE ONE WEEKS TO GET YOUR ITEM OUT THE DOOR, I FIGURE SINCE WE DON'T REALLY HAVE TO DO ANY CRAFTING FOR THE SWAP 7 DAYS SHOULD BE ENOUGH TIME TO GET TO THE POST OFFICE, IF NOT LET ME KNOW.  Please be communicative if you are having any issues. THERE WILL BE FEEDBACK FOR THIS SWAP - Don't forget to get a DC NUMBER when shipping in your own country!

You can participate as many times as you want but no person can "owe" more than 2 things at a time.

PLEASE LIST YOUR COUNTRY
(even if you're from the US, still list your country! not everyone lives in the US!)

LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND I CAN ANSWER AND MODIFY THIS INFORMATION

*******

PRE-APPROVED SWAPPERS

People pre-approved to participate in this swap - If you have a number next to your name that means you owe that many wishes (updated every 24 hours at the least) - LIMIT of 2! - help me by not having more than 2 outstanding wishes at a time please!: ( i will try to keep this in alphabetical order so that you can find your name easier!)

The number next to your name will be how many you have outstanding (meaning how many haven't recieved yet).
TEAL will mean that you can't claim anyone else until your partner receives.

THERE WAS TALK OF INCLUDING CRAFTED BOOKMARKS WITH THE ITEM YOU SEND, THIS IS NOT MANDATORY BUT FEEL FREE TO INCLUDE ONE IF YOU LIKE.

Just a reminder!!!

Please PM me with your info.  Even if you were in the last round, I still need it.  Also put how many times you have claimed.  You can only have 2 out at a time and yes they did transfer over.  And make sure that you pm your address to the person you claim from.

That is all Smiley

This looks like an awesome swap, I'm really considering joining!
Just a question though, I didn't really see this in the rules...
are you allowed to ask for more than one book from the same person for the same claim? Or can you only choose one? I know you are only allowed to "owe" 2 books at a time, so does that mean you can only ask for 2 books at one time? Just a bit confused there, sorry!

Just to make things simple:  one book at a time.  you can claim from the same person twice as long as they were 2 different times.  I hope that clears things up for you.

Also, I haven't been PMing people back when they send in their info.  Just figure that if you were in the last swap you are good for this one.  I'm just making the list to make sure everyone who is still interested is on it.

You also don't need to send me your address if you have issues with it.  Just please make sure that you send the person who you claim from.  Hope this covers everything Smiley
