So I finally registered so I can post here.  I just started crocheting and I love these arigurumi creatures.  And I adore cats so I knew I had to give this a try.  He's my first arigurumi.  I made it for my friend's b-day.  I got really attached to him and he was really hard to give away!!  Well, so here he is!  He likes to play piano Cheesy

And my fav. picture of all:

I think he looks so peaceful.  I envy him  Cheesy

I made a matching card using photos of him too.  Maybe I should post that at the paper forum...

Next after I make a kitty or 2 for myself... I think it would be fun making a bear and dog from these patterns making adjustments, and maybe other animals as well...?

Those are awesome! If you used my pattern, do you have any suggestions of changes to it? Or was it ok?

Thanks, yours and ax174 pattern was very helpful!

I was confused about the part on the mouth

Mouth
Row 1: Sc 7 times into a ring (7)
Row 2: *2 sc in one stitch, then 7 sc* all the way around (14)

Specifically about Row 2, and the "then 7 sc" part - it doesn't make sense to me.  So I just did 2 sc in each sc for a total of 14 single crochets.

Also for the stuffing, I didn't stuff the Mouth and just stitched in on flat sideways on the face.  I think if you want to make the mouth pop out, I would stuff it just a little, not too much though.

For the legs and arms, like someone else said in the thread, for best poseability, I only stuffed the tips of them (the hands and feet parts).

Hello everyone - I LOVE your cats, and I've been wanting to try my own. I'd like to use yarn that I already have, rather than spend money that I don't have, and I was wondering if anyone can tell me how much yarn their cats used up? I'm not sure what kind of yarn I'd be using, and anything I have would be in 50 grams balls/skeins, but an estimate is enough. Thanks for your help!
