I've been neglecting to post my own amineko, so without further procrastination..

I finished him on a roadtrip to Utah (yuck!), and he's been lovingly named Colonel Mustard. He lives with my sister now, cause she loves cats.

I think I made his mouth part wrong, and I sewed his legs on the same as his arms, but other than that, I was pretty true to the pattern.

After seeing all the cute Amineko out there, I guess I'll chime in with mine.

Here's the first-born:

Some visiting friends really liked him a lot and wanted to take him home with them...but I couldn't part with him.  So I spent some time crocheting another amineko to send over their way.

This pattern's so much fun, I love how they're posable...great way to spend an afternoon, posing a crochet cat...

i'm  working on this right now.   Grin last night at like one i had an insane urge to make it and i was like i don't need the pattern i can guess and well very bad idea Cry but i've been working all day on it, well lazily.  it seems like the head is going to be huge.  can someone post a pic of theirs next to like a 20 oz. soda or somethin for size reference.  thanks

definately starting to think i should have used a g hook instead of an h.

I love how you did the ears.  I like them better than the ears in the original pattern.  Would it be possible to get a simple pattern from you, please?  Smiley

Bwahahaha, I'll kill two birds with one stone here.

Ambo:  Hope I'm not too late, but here are two pics for size reference.  I didn't have a 20 oz soda can, but I hope this 12 oz can will do!

ax174:  Of course.  It's pretty similar to the original pattern, but here's what I did:

First, make a magic yarn loop
R1: 4sc into the loop, pull the end to tighten, ch1, turn
R2: 2sc in each sc across [8 sts total], ch1, turn
R3: *2sc in first sc, 3sc* twice [10 sts total], ch1, turn
R4: *2sc in first sc, 4sc* twice [12 sts total], ch1, turn

*for the green amineko, I stopped after R4, so instead of ch1 and turning, I fastened off.  I added an extra row for the pink amineko.

R5: *2sc in first sc, 5 sc* twice [14sts total], fasten off

Then I sort of used my fingers to pinch the tops of the ears to make the shape appear even more triangular, if that makes any sense at all.

Hope that helps. ^_^

when i said 20 oz. i meant a bottle, do they have cans that size  Huh never seen one.  it would be intereseting.  but thanks i definately have to redo cause i started with a H hook and then i changed and started with an G but still wasnt satisfied and now am going to try an F before i try to make it smaller by modifyng the pattern.  i've never made somthing using a pattern fully.  i get halfway through and then start modifyng it.

:-\i seem to have rambled a bit.  not able to talk to my mother at the moment and that's usually who i ramble too. lol
