My mother and aunt just bought me the most beautiful hand dyed hand spun yarn for a birthday present. It's so soft and cozy and calling to be made into a sweater. It's suggested to be knit with size 7mm (US 10.5) needles. Does anyone have any pattern recommendations for a fitted girly sweater made with this size needles? I can only seem to find sweaters knit with smaller needles. I'm willing to buy the pattern/book if necessary. Thanks for any help!

That's about the smallest size I'd ever knit a sweater with, but that's me - I don't like small needles.

What I do is find a pattern I like, then see how many stitches per inch and per row I get with the yarn and needles. Look at the pattern and the finished size that fits you (32, 34, 36,38, etc). Then cast on the stitches you get when you multiply sts/inch x inches you want (add 1 or 2 inches if you want a looser fitting sweater).  Unless you're making the smallest size, you can usually use the numbers from one of the smaller sizes. Then knit by measurements, though sleeve and neckline shaping can be done by the pattern.
