I wasn't sure if I wanted to put this on the knit board or clothing since it's both, but I decided to go ahead and pop it on here.

I got this pattern from a leaflet from Leisure Arts called Full Figured Fashions.  It's a simple raglan sweater, but I think the lace panels really make it more interesting.

I have a 52 inch bust, and the largest size the sweater was geared for was a 50 inch bust with 2 inches give.  I upped my needle sizes from 6 and 8 to 7 and 9.  It made the sweater quite a bit bigger, but I like loose clothing.

Sleeve detail.

Because this required quite a bit of yarn yardage and it was my first sweater for myself, I took the cheap route and used Caron Simply Soft.  I love the stuff honestly, but for some reason I wound up with a lot of strand splitting and pills as I worked with it.  I'm really hoping that it doesn't get worse when I wash it.

It is lovely.  I couldn't resist checking out your post, even though I'm not a knitter, because of the subject line... but excuse me being ignorant... why is this a sweater of doom?  It looks like spring flowers to me.

j_en...it's a joke, I should've elaborated.

It took me almost three months of constant (4 + hours a day) knitting to finish it.  I was thrilled to have a pretty finished project or else I think I would've ripped my hair out!

It was worth it - 'coz it rocks! I am so envious of knitting babes! Color me envy/impressed.
RE: DOOM - I totally understand the "doom". Ever since Invader Zim I have stopped referring to my nightmare projects as "____ From HELL" - now they are all "____ of Doom". That's why I HAD to check the thread out.  Smiley

Thanks Smiley

I'm a self taught knitter and once it finally clicked, it really clicked.

I LOVE the Dresden Dolls.  I'm going to their April 17th concert in Tempe for my birthday  Grin

I love it! It looks very professional.
On a totally off-topic note, I also really like the tiles on your floor. Wink
