It's been a while since I posted, but finally got my pictures of the Mrs. Beetons I made for my sister back in January (a very late Chanukah present).

I used the recommended Rowan Kidsilk Haze, along with a random DK weight merino. Gee whiz, that Rowan Haze is beautiful yarn, but it sure is hard to knit with. All of the beads are pearl pink, but it's kinda hard to tell in the picture. If I had to do 'em again, I think I'd use bigger beads. These look super cute under a blazer, when you can't see the part I screwed up at the end of the cuffs!

I'm happy to see a version other than Knitty's. They came out great, I may use this as my first kidsilk project.

Beautiful! And they must be really soft. I finished a pair of these last weekend too, done partly with sock yarn, and they're pretty quick and fun to do.
