So my brother asked me one day at dinner if I could make him a little Japanese doll...hmmm...strange.  I asked him "what KIND of doll?".  I was thinking a little sumo or something.  But NO!  He wants a little Domokun, you know, to keep him company and sit on top him computer.

Well, as far as I'm concerned there's NOTHING wrong with going a LITTLE overboard...

Oh my...

He's made from mystery material from wal-mart, it's sweater on the outside and fluffy on the inside so I used it wrong side out.  He's pretty easy to make too (being a cube).  His mouth is adhesive back craft felt (stitched on, but the adhesive back REALLY helps it lie flat, and give it body) and his eyes are giant shank buttons.  He is stuffed with 3" foam cut into 12" x 14" slabs and stacked three thick, then I made him smoother by stuffing some polyfill between the foam and fabric (so he didn't have such sharp corners).

Whew...not exactly what my brother had envisioned...but hey...

It's so cool. Go Domokun.
