Details of swap:
Each person will send a copy of their favorite children's book to their swap partner (to keep!). Copies of books can be found at local used book stores, library sales, Amazon.com, Half.com, Overstock.com, etc. If you order online, you may ship the book directly to your swap partner. Books must be shipped by Tuesday, May 2, 2006! I will need DC#s or receipts from everyone!

Your swap partner will then read the book and craft a few items that are related to or inspired by this book. These crafts must be sent by Tuesday, May 30, 2006--again with DC#s or receipt scans.

As for the amount of crafty goodness that is to be sent, I do not want to assign a package requirement in terms of size as some small crafts take a very long time to make! I suggest sending one time-intensive specialty craft (something that would take much time and consideration!) and one or two smaller crafts that take less time but are still thoughtful. Since this swap is rather open-ended in its craftiness, I would highly recommend communicating with your partner to find out his/her preferences and tastes.

I haven't joined yet, I have so many ideas for books though.
Should it be a short book with pics? My fave book is by Judy Blume, but I can't think of plenty of other shorter, illustrated ones...

I don't think it needs to be a picture book. Most Judy Blume books are rather short, so I'm sure yours will be fine. (: Now, if someone were to send me a 600-page Harry Potter-type book that I had never read before, I'd be a little worried and flustered!

True! And I bet most people have read a lot of the Judy Blume books, I know I have read nearly all of them! My mum always say that I am going to have a kid like Fudge! lol
