Does anyone know a good place to take a jewelry making class?  I would be a total beginner.   Also, somewhere on the north side would be good Smiley

LillStreet art center has, along with many other art classes, jewelry classes - even those geared towards the absolute beginner.  They come highly recommended to me and they're not too $$$ either.  They're up around montrose and ravenswood, I believe.

I actually throw jewelry making classes/ parties in people's homes, if you are interested.  I use the good stuff, like sterling and semi precious stones, etc.  I life westernly, but if you're interested I can make a trip up.  Invite some of your friedns, get free gifts/discounts for hosting, and have it when you want!  And you only pay for marterials - Bracelets start at $12, necklaces $20
