 Feel free to ask questions.
You will need: large square of fabric (about 33" by 33"), t-shirt, and elastic band (I used one from an old pair of underwear).

1. Cut along blue lines
2. Sew along blue lines
3. Flip fabric over elastic band
4. Sew over elastic band
5. Cut circle slightly larger than hip size in center of fabric square
6. Sew it onto tube top
Here are a couple of dresses I've made like this so far

I'll probably try this: I've got a Rolling Stones "Black and Blue" t-shirt that's way to big for me, and a shortage of cute summer dresses.

I really love this!  You explained it so simply, I think I may actually be able to do this!  Haha, and I love your hair.  I used to dye my hair all sorts of fun colors, but lost the time to do it after starting college.  Maybe I should try it again, who knows?!  Anyway, great job on the dress!  Grin
