Library/Librarian Stitchalong
the "rules"
~draw your own (or if you can find a librarian embroidery patterns you can use those, too!) library or librarian themed pattern and stitch it up!
~keep your voice to a whisper
~have fun and please share pictures!

I thought this could be a fun stitchalong, as so many people are eager for librarian themed Sublime Stitching patterns! And the more, the merrier! So lets get stitching!

I'm in cowgirl!
My good friend is a school librarian and I'm sure she could use a surprise gift. I'll spend the next few days planning something.

here is a link to some library type clipart if anyone is interested:

Great! I'm doing a surprise gift for a school librarian, too! Only she used to be mine!

Not sure if I'll be participating in this Stitchalong or not... but I did find a great link for library/librarian quotes!

Link is here: http://www.quotegarden.com/libraries.html

I thought a few of these would look nice, maybe stitched onto a pillow or a purse.  Cheesy

my favorite quote: I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.  ~Jorge Luis Borges

I'm stuck before I even started. I can't come up with an idea of what I want to do.

I wasn't going to do this one because I couldn't think of anything either, but then an idea just popped in my head.

I get way too many books to make a book tote for myself, but since I'll be having a baby, in the next few years I know we'll be going to the library all the time and checking out tons of kids books.

I don't have the patience to sew a bag, so I'm just going to buy a blank tote and embroider some books and a quote on it.  Smiley  Now let's just see how long it takes me to actually DO it.   hehe.

Unfortunately I didn't take pictures, but as soon as my swap partner posts her pictures I'll show you guys my work!

Anyone on Ravelry? My username is Caitlism, friend me!

I'm a library technician and I love the idea of the stitchalong! I'm just thinking of making a little patch for myself.

If you want funny library stuff, check out the webcomic www.unshelved.com hilarious! (and family friendly!)

and my favourite quote!
'Outside a dog, a book is a man's best friend, inside a dog, it's too dark to read'  Groucho Marx

I have a wist!
So I up and decided to do the whole blog thing...

I do personal swaps!

I work at a library, so I'm going to make myself a little purse with the logo on it. LOL. I'll get started on it right after I finish my dad's wallet.
