I thought this could be a fun stitchalong, as so many people are eager for librarian themed Sublime Stitching patterns! And the more, the merrier! So lets get stitching!

I wasn't going to do this one because I couldn't think of anything either, but then an idea just popped in my head.

I get way too many books to make a book tote for myself, but since I'll be having a baby, in the next few years I know we'll be going to the library all the time and checking out tons of kids books.

I don't have the patience to sew a bag, so I'm just going to buy a blank tote and embroider some books and a quote on it.    Now let's just see how long it takes me to actually DO it.   hehe.

I'm a library technician and I love the idea of the stitchalong! I'm just thinking of making a little patch for myself.

I am thrilled to bits! I was a library teacher, now teach 1st grade but plan to get my degree for library teachers. I find it a very beautiful, noble, and above all, QUIET profession. I joined craftster just so I could do this. I can't wait!

4doxies, just a wee word about doing the library thing in schools, its not quiet, at least not in mine (and from colleagues, very rarely in their schools either). Universities and all places corporate I'm sure would by quiet, but schools? Not a chance.

That said, working in a school is MUCH more fun than working in a corporate situation, and you get to wear (most) of what you want. And being crafty/eccentric is practically a job requirement lol.

I have to weigh-in to say that public libraries are not always quiet either - mine actually sounds more like a daycare most days!

Mine was an innercity library, too. But the classes were small and we practiced. It wasn't silent, but it was quiet in a relaxing sort of way.
