That is so crazily cool.  I don't even like shawls, but I must admit, this one is so fancy and neat.  Ooooooooooo, a sweater crocheted like that.   Shocked  I must learn how to make these because they sound simple but don't look that way.

Those hexagons are almost exactly like the ones used in the Heavenly Daydreams bedcover pattern that's available free somewhere on the internet. I am halfway through making it, so when I saw your shawl, I recognized the motif LOL

It's lovely...I wonder what it would look like in a multicolor yarn...I'm trying to visualize as I have some black and white...

I did this shawl for Mardi Gras since it was named "Carnival" but I did it in traditional Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold. For an entirely different look to this shawl you can see a pic of mine on my blog at http://blog.myspace.com/redheadskydiver
