I made this ID tag for my dog Ringo.  It is a wooden tag I made then carved and painted for him.  It was hard to find anything that matched his green and orange leash and collar so I am now making custom pet ID tags. I am really happy with it.   Oh and I should have mentioned that the back is orange, hence why it matches his green and orange leash and collar.  And on the back is my phone number and adress in case he ever gets lost.

Here are some new tags I have made for friends (well... for their dogs actually)

Thanks a bunch!  My original plan was that this was a one and only because my fashion defunct dog needed it.  But since it turned out so well I am now taking custom orders on my online etsy shop.

Thanks!  Ya i kept putting off buying one of those colored metal ones. For one thing they are very plain and boring, and the color always seems to wear off them.

I am making a few more right now to donate to a local animal shelter auction.  I dont know if I should just give poeple a gift certificate to claim a free tag ?  Since I need to personalize it I can't just give the tags to the auction.  Do you think people will bid on a gift certifacte for a tag if I just show pictures of what my tags look like?  I want to donate something that will generate money for teh auction.

Looks great! I love the colors! For the auction, if it's not too late, you could make tags with names like "Spoiled" or "Loved."
