I suppose this counts as a retcon, yes?  After all, I didn't make the shoes themselves. *snickers*

Here's your mandatory BEFORE picture.  For all you dance people out there, they're Bloch Suprimas, and they were actually in worse shape than this when I decided to dye them.  I had to get rid of them because I just couldn't get over on my box.

And here's after I got through with them.  That's three coats of Rit dye in scarlet, and a whole bunch of rhinestones that I had to sit there and glue.  >.<  Oh, and new ribbons, since the peach ones didn't take the dye well at all.

The best close-up I could get of the rhinestones.  Sorry about the blurry quality.

On my feet.

On my feet flat.

Hope you liked the pics!

Oh wow! Those looks great! All you need now is a ballet of the wizard of Oz, they'd be great for Dorothy's red shoes.....

Those are stunning!  I would have enjoyed pointe far better if I'd had a pair of shoes like that.   Wink

Thanks for the compliments!  I've been thinking of getting a pair of pointes off Ebay and dyeing them, then completly covering them with red jewels, ala Dorothy.  I'll post pics if I ever get around to it.

TheWorldFamous:  I sew my own ribbons onto my pointe shoes, so it was pretty simple to take a seam ripper to the ones I had and then just sew the new ones on.  I can give you more details if you need them. ^_^
