I thought you all might need some super quick knits for those last minute gifts!  This one is really quick thanks to wool ease thick n quick.  I knit this white one first and then realized I've been meaning to do my version of a "raspberry beret."  I dont think it's "the kind you'd find in a second hand store" but I couldn't resist!  

EDIT: i realized i shoudl've said this before.. most of the beret is just seed stitch so it'd be a really easy first project for those beginners.  You can also make it with or without the loops for the ribbon

pattern is here - would've just typed it out in craftster but i already had it all laid out so i had to post large images on my blog

I love it! The color and texture (is that popcorn stitch?) make it look very raspberry-like. My DD is really into knit hats right now and she has been wearing the last beret I made constantly. She wants a few more and I bet she'd love yours. Thanks for sharing the pattern!

no problem! It's actually just seed stitch, I love the way it looks with bulky yarn
